Cookieless web analytics for WordPress
Add Noralytic to WordPress with one line of code. No heavy analytics plugin, no cookies, no consent banner for analytics, and your site stays fast.
Why use Noralytic with WordPress
Most WordPress analytics plugins load bulky scripts, set cookies and push you into a consent banner. Noralytic keeps WordPress lean: one tiny script and a dashboard outside your admin area.
It suits blogs, business sites and agencies who run many WordPress installations and want one overview.
- No cookies, no local storage and no stored IP addresses, so analytics alone does not need a consent banner.
- A tracking script under 1 KB that will not slow down your pages.
- Real-time stats, top pages, sources, countries, devices, campaigns and events in one simple dashboard.
- Single-page navigation is tracked automatically, because the script follows the browser history.
What you need
- A free Noralytic account with your website added under its exact domain.
- Admin access to your WordPress site, to install a snippet plugin or edit your child theme.
How to add Noralytic to WordPress
The tracking code is one line. The steps below show where it goes.
<script data-host="https://noralytic.com" src="https://noralytic.com/js/script.js" id="ZwSg9rf6GA" async defer></script>
- Option A: use a header snippet plugin
Install a plugin such as WPCode (Insert Headers and Footers), open Code Snippets, then Header & Footer, and paste the tracking code into the Header field. Save. - Option B: add it to your child theme
In your child theme'sfunctions.php, add the code below. It skips logged-in users, so your own visits are not counted. - Clear your caches
If you use a caching plugin or a CDN, purge the cache so visitors receive the new page header.
add_action('wp_head', function () {
if (is_user_logged_in()) {
return;
}
echo '<script data-host="https://noralytic.com" src="https://noralytic.com/js/script.js" id="ZwSg9rf6GA" async defer></script>';
});
Check that tracking works
- Open your website
Use a private browser window so extensions and your login do not interfere. - Open the Noralytic real-time view
In your Noralytic dashboard, open your website and go to Realtime. - Look for your visit
Your page view should appear within a few seconds. Click through a few pages to see each one counted.
Track custom events on WordPress
Track form submissions or button clicks with a few lines of JavaScript, for example with Contact Form 7.
document.addEventListener('wpcf7mailsent', function () {
pa.track({ name: 'contact_form' });
});
Events appear in your Events report. A value and a unit are optional, for example pa.track({ name: 'purchase', value: 49.9, unit: 'EUR' }).
Exclude your own visits and bots
To keep your numbers clean, open your website settings in Noralytic and add your own IP address under excluded IP addresses. Make sure bot filtering is enabled so known crawlers are ignored.
Troubleshooting
- Caching and optimisation plugins: purge your cache after adding the code. If a plugin delays JavaScript, exclude the Noralytic script from the delay.
- Page builders: if your theme does not call
wp_head(), the snippet will not appear. Check the page source. - No data after a few minutes? Confirm that the domain in Noralytic matches your website exactly, and that the script appears in the page source.
- Ad blockers: some blockers hide analytics scripts. Test in a private window without extensions.
- Content Security Policy: if you use one, allow
noralytic.comas a script and connection source.

No dedicated plugin is needed. You can paste the code with any header snippet plugin or add it to your child theme.

Yes. Add each domain as its own website in Noralytic and use the same tracking code on every site.
Is Noralytic free to use with WordPress?
Yes. Noralytic has a free plan with 10,000 pageviews per month for one website, and paid plans start at €8.99 per month.
